Obituary of Doreen Mary Wright
WRIGHT (nee Ager), Doreen Mary – passed away peacefully in St. Catharines on September 4th, 2020, in her 84th year. Beloved wife of Brian Wright, sister of Vera (Ken), mother of Philip (Megan), Susan (Jeff), Kevin (Sophie), and David (Joy), grandmother to Sheryl (Mick), Leah (Dave), Jason (Megan), Jerika (Eric), Kelsey, Josh, Liam, Caitlin, and Mikayla, and great-grandmother to Abigayle, Jasmine, Alexus, Charleigh, Morgan, Wyatt, Mackenzie, Emily, Adelaide and Olivia.
Doreen was born in England, had an early career in nursing and was always game for adventure. She lived on three continents and enjoyed travelling throughout her life; from road trips in the camper to flights around the world. She was creative in many ways-from baking and preserving, to knitting and sewing. Her craft room speaks to her boundless inspirations. She loved bright colours and a proper cup of tea. Steadfast in her faith, she was a member of Bethel Baptist Church for over 50 years.
A service to celebrate Doreen’s life will be held on Saturday, September 12th at 11:00 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, 10 Arlington Avenue, St. Catharines. For those who wish to honour Doreen in this way, donations to Christar Canada would be appreciated by the family.
