Obituary of Anne Allen

 

ALLEN, Anne – Passed away in hospital on Monday, October 17, 2022. Reunited with her loving husband, William, Anne is the loving mother of Malcolm (Peggy), Morag, Crawford (d 2011), Elspeth (Glenn) Silverwood, and Steven (Joanne).

Proud gran of Melissa (Paula Fuller) Dorsey, Gillian (Kyle) Sheldrick, Callum (Cassa Wilde), Lauren (Victor Fu), Kristen (Shawn) Mayer, David, and great gran to Jacob, Keegan, Charlotte, Renan, Ethan, Ryer, Hailey, Logan, Taylor, Nolan, Sloane, and Dylan.

Sister to Catherine McMillan. Predeceased by parents, William and Sarah McMillan, and sister, Agnes McGowan.

Former principal dancer of the Celtic Ballet of Scotland, she was still dancing around her living room at the age of 91! A live entertainment enthusiast, Anne loved the theatre and attending local musical performances by Jazz and Blues artists.

Cremation has taken place, arranged by George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. A celebration of life will follow at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Niagara Region or MS Society.
