Obituary of Connie Gormley
GORMLEY, Constance “Connie”
It is with greatest sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother in her sleep at her home on Monday, January 18, 2021 at the age of 96. Loving mother to Hazel Turner, Gerald (Deborah), Pamela (Dana) Michaud and the late Mark. Cherished Nanna to Lisa and Daniel. She will be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, other extended family members, Roy (Carol) Turner and neighbours Kathy Swift and Brian Narhi. She is predeceased by her siblings.
Connie was a war Veteran and War Bride who moved to Canada after WWII. She led a fairly simple life, tending to her garden, bird watching and watching her family grow.
A Special thank you to the PSW’s and Nurses from ParaMed and Staff at VON for all their care and compassion to Mom. You were all amazing, thank you. Thank you as well to the Funeral Home Staff for all your assistance in this time of need. In accordance with Constance’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are entrusted to the SIMPLER TIMES CREMATION CENTRE, (905) 937-4444. Memorial donations may be made to the Veterans Affairs Canada.
